Inside The Leader Saloon in 1912. It was located across from the Southern Pacific depot. The building is still there. If you look closely there is a Coca Cola mural on the side of this building.
Patrons pose outside the Leader Saloon on the south side of Sumner near Baker. This building is still standing although it bears little resemblance to this shot from 1910.
July 4, circa 1915. The

is upstairs with the Leader Saloon downstairs at right and Crowell’s Furniture Store on the left. This is on the south side of Sumner across from the Southern Pacific Depot.
1910 – The Leader Saloon on the south side of Sumner near Baker in the Western Hotel, Bakersfield.
A little bit of “Old West” with a Chicago look.
The Leader Saloon was at 705 “I” Street in Kern City. “I” Street later became Sumner. The lower half of the building survives.
