Located next door to the Pyrenees French Bakery was the Hotel des Alpes. It was operated by August Dusserre and Jules Jaussaud. It was located at 723 Humboldt (today 723 East 21st Street). This building is and for some time has been a part of the Pyrenees Bakery. In one of the upstairs rooms remains a relic of times past; a old basin and faucet!
