Members of the Kern County Basque Club (KCBC) in Bakersfield, Calif. spend an evening together. On this night, Honorary Members are recognized while the club invites 36 new members, of all ages. Among them is an amazing 101 year old woman. KCBC is still thriving after 80 years of celebrating the Basque culture. The unique people come from the region of northern Spain and southern France and speak the oldest language of Europe, which they call “Euskara.” For more information about Basques and Basque-Americans, visit our website https://euskalkazeta.com/
